Cherries Jubilee

This is the second painting in the watercolor series for my kitchen. Again, I learned some fun techniques from Vivian at Art with Viv, and this is one of the largest pieces I’ve ever painted.

I’m currently working on the third painting in this series and plan to have it finished soon. I’m excited to get them matted, framed, and hung on the wall. I hope your part of the world is starting to enjoy some bits of normalcy regarding the pandemic and that you are doing well. Thanks for stopping by!

Fresh Fruit

Tis the season . . . for fresh fruits to taste even fresher! My favorites are blueberries, and adding just-picked blueberries to my morning yogurt is a delight!

This was painted following a tutorial by Vivian Cooper from Art with Viv, who has the most fabulous tutorials on her website. My husband and I moved to a new home in January but still have no artwork hung, so I’m working diligently on a series for the kitchen. This is the first one of a trio.

Hope you are enjoying some warmer temps and sunshine in your area. Once we get through the imminent cicada invasion, I’ll be able to enjoy the outdoors a little easier. Thanks for stopping by, and take care!

Draw A Bird, May 2021

Hello there, and happy May! Springtime is in full bloom, and because we recently moved to a new home, it’s exciting to watch the new-to-us trees, bushes, and flowers bursting with life.

Have you ever seen a kingfisher in the wild? They are quite wonderful to observe as they go about their fishing activities. This fellow had a successful fishing expedition and looks like he’s going to have a full belly after savoring his lunch. Thanks for stopping by, and be well!
