Today I am sharing three cards that are white on white. After playing with watercolors for many weeks I got back to card making and wanted to start with a clean look. What could be cleaner than white on white?
White on White-Best Wishes
Embossing folders add texture and only a few ribbons or inky words are needed. The card above features the Stampin Up Bird punch layered on an embossed heart.

The edge punches add to the lacy, crisp, and elegant feel of these cards, which are so versatile and can be used for a multitude of occasions.
Mickey and Minnie have brought many smiles to kids (and adults!) around the world and I hope these cards will, too. One of my friends, Linda, let me borrow her Disney Cricut cartridge and I have been taking full advantage of it. Below are a few of the designs and I am still working on a couple more.

I found the Disney washi tape used on the first four cards at JoAnn’s in the clearance section – what a score!
Julie, did I do okay? 🙂 Have a Happy Day!!
Kim is always doing thoughtful things like picking up cool craft supplies when she sees them and sharing with all her friends. To show my appreciation of her generosity I made a batch of special cards for her to give to her sister, Jacki, who has been hospitalized and battling leukemia for a while now. Jacki is quite the fighter and even on her worst days she is an absolute inspiration. When reading her care pages, her love of God and unending Faith show through her writings, and her fierce and complete trust, confidence, and love of the Lord and her family are quite moving.

Most of these images were colored with either the new set of alcohol-based blending markers, which Kim found at a bargain price, or with colored pencil and gamsol for blending and shading. I enjoyed getting out all my stamp sets and picking out just the right ones as well as finding patterned papers, marker colors, embossing folders, and embellishments to match. All of the stamp sets are from a company called My Favorite Things and the papers and embellishments are from my stash.
Please remember Jacki in your prayers as she continues to fight her battle with such grace and determination.
Because I love Cricut’s Create-A-Critter cartridge so much, I am sharing a few more of my favorite cards made with it. Most were created for OWH except for the giraffe baby card, which was made for my sweet friend Pat when her granddaughter was born. I took the liberty of using glittered paper on that one (a no-no for OWH) so of course I had to take a good picture of it!

I wish I had taken a better picture of the completed monkey card but forgot before they were all boxed up and sent, so I will just have to make more so I can get a better photo. I was happy that some of my punny sentiments went right along with the critters. TGIF!
Hurray! The large flat rate box was mailed to OWH last week and included 284 love/valentine cards and 43 Anyhero cards. It seems that I get writer’s cramp so quickly these days, so I am thankful to those who helped me write out the Anyhero cards! I am also thankful to my friends who, at our previous girls’ weekend, helped me assemble the last of the bunch of regular cards. Without all this extra help, I would not have been able to get the box sent in soon. Thank you!!

There were also some cards geared toward children; maybe I will upload those at a later date. Now that it is snowing like crazy, I might get to write a few more posts this weekend. Be safe out there!
The “box of love” is filling up faster than I thought thanks to a productive weekend with friends at a new crafty hideaway, which I will talk about in another post. Here are a couple of cards that I was able to finish the week before I left.
Universal Man & Woman
This man and woman images were cut from Cricut’s Going Places cartridge and they sweetly share each other’s hearts (which are enameled with Glossy Accents) and are holding hands. The red background is a bit difficult to see but it is embossed with a Darice heart embossing folder.
The next two cards follow the same assembly but were made in alternating colors. I really like the designs of the damask patterned paper that was bought at Michael’s.
XOXO Pink & Purple

Only about one-third of the box left to fill! Have a great week!
It has been a productive, crafty week. I made a big batch of these Love/Valentine cards for OWH following a challenge of using unconventional valentine colors and think the golden yellow/olive look so pretty.
Punch Pourri Card
The background is embossed with Devine Swirls in white. The stamps are from Stampin Up’s Punch Pourri set and coordinate with the Boho Blossoms, Heart, and Bird punches. The olive strip is embossed with SU’s Square Lattice folder, and the yellow edge is punched with a Martha Stewart edge punch.
Next I am working on some traditional-looking Love/Valentine cards with Cricit cutouts. Hopefully I will finish those in a few days – so many ideas, so little time!
