It is rather chilly weather here, but painting these lemons made me think of warm, bright sunshiny weather.

Lemons 1
As a matter of fact, I painted two versions – one in my natural controlled style and the other in a splashy loose style.

Lemons 2
Which one do you like best?
Reminds me of the Limoncello I made this summer after visiting southern italy. A after dinner sipping liquor that will warm a soul on a chilly night. Your paintings are lovely
Beautiful work, Carol.
I love both of them!! ππ
Thanks so much! What, you made your own Limoncello? We visited Italy a few years ago I looked forward to a few sips of this after most meals. I have bought it but never thought of making it myself. Was it difficult? Cheers!!
Thanks so much, Patty Anne π
No, easy ingredients: Lemon rind w/o the white pulp, vodka, sugar and marinate for several weeks. I used the 80 day recipe from All recipes.com. We serve it for special occasions since the alcohol content is strong with all the sugar added to the vodka.
Sounds like a good winter recipe. Thanks!
Love both – the perfectly zesty antidote to the autumnal chill!
I rather like the nice, controlled painting. It’s soothing to look at somehow. I need soothing things now with holiday and bazaar craziness π
I think I like the first one best but they both are super, Carol! I think the background really shows off your lemons in the first one. The second one reminds me of making a cool glass of lemonade! πππ»
I really like both.
Thanks, Jacob! π
Thank you, Caroline! Good luck with all your busyness!
Thanks, Jill! π
Thanks, Judy!!
Hi Carol, I like them both…They are beautiful…
Thank you, Beth! πΉ

Thanks, Holly. Happy Thanksgiving!
Both are great!!!
Both! The first one is soft and soothing and the second is vibrant and jazzy!
