After practicing loose, freestyle watercolor roses for a couple of days, I had quite a “garden” of them to be made into greeting cards.

They are quite fun to paint, take shape quickly, and make an elegant presentation.

Here’s hoping we call can take time to smell the real roses today.Β Happy Wednesday!
Beautiful roses, Carol. I think I can almost smell them. Love, Mom
Fun for you to make..but what a joy to receive!!! xo Johanna
Thank you for your kind words, Johanna; they mean a lot to me!
That’s nicely done Carol. I gave up on this a while ago as I always get lost when drawing roses. I guess I could give it a try again. I particularly like the yellow pack.
Very pretty Carol! I can almost catch a scent but I will take the time to smell the real roses today. Thank you.
Happy Wednesday to you too Carol these are beautiful!!
Thank you, Sissh π
Thanks, Susan – I hope you enjoy a peaceful, fragrant day π
Yes, you should revisit it again. I also worked on them in starts and stops and finally go the hang of it. I’m glad you like them, especially the yellow roses π
Thanks, Mom! β€
Lovely watercolors as always. π
Why thank you, Ivy Li π
Lovely Carol!! ππΉπ
Who ever gets one of your cards will be a lucky person π
beautiful cards, Carol! β€
Thank you, Carrie Lynn π
That is sweet of you to say, Birgit. Thank you!
This is so funny because I tried painting this type of rose last night only it looked nothing like yours. Yours are actually beautiful. I think my paper was too wet and everything ran together. Great job Carol! π
Thanks, Carol! I painted them on dry paper and followed each “petal” with a brush of just clean water to spread out where I wanted them too. Keep at it – they took a lot of practice for me π
