I have been practicing watercolor for the past many weeks, and although not everything turns out the way I want (it seems like it rarely does), it is thrilling to get an outcome that I am happy with. Flowers are one of my other go-to favorite subjects besides birds. This was a tutorial I found in a book by Kory Fluckiger.
I painted it a few times using Derwent Inktense pencils once and watercolor twice, and this is the best of the bunch. Hope you can take time to smell the roses – I mean daisies – today.
This is lovely, Carol, I think you’re doing great!
Thank you for your kind words of encourgement, Laura. I will say that with each of the ones that did not turn out I was able to pinpoint what I did wrong. It is gratifying to realize what works and what does not; now if I can only remember it all! Happy weekend to you!
Carol, your daisy is delightful. It looks perfect. Love, Mom and Dad
I love daisies, this is beautiful….you have this flower down to a T.
