Kim is always doing thoughtful things like picking up cool craft supplies when she sees them and sharing with all her friends. To show my appreciation of her generosity I made a batch of special cards for her to give to her sister, Jacki, who has been hospitalized and battling leukemia for a while now. Jacki is quite the fighter and even on her worst days she is an absolute inspiration. When reading her care pages, her love of God and unending Faith show through her writings, and her fierce and complete trust, confidence, and love of the Lord and her family are quite moving.
Most of these images were colored with either the new set of alcohol-based blending markers, which Kim found at a bargain price, or with colored pencil and gamsol for blending and shading. I enjoyed getting out all my stamp sets and picking out just the right ones as well as finding patterned papers, marker colors, embossing folders, and embellishments to match. All of the stamp sets are from a company called My Favorite Things and the papers and embellishments are from my stash.
Please remember Jacki in your prayers as she continues to fight her battle with such grace and determination.
Cards are very touching. Peace and joy to Jackie
