Here are yet 2 more wedding cards that I made for a wedding this afternoon. One of my favorite things to do when I receive invitations (wedding or graduation) is to see if there are elements on the invitations that I can use on the cards I make. The colors on the invitation were pink and black so that set my color choices. The “Always and Forever” card is stamped on a plaque I made with the Cricut Elegant Edges cartridge, and the background is dry embossed with Swiss Dots. The ribbon and rhinestone heart were actually cut off the invitation and reused to give this card a personal touch for the Bride and Groom.
I was really happy with the “Pink Champagne” card. Kim so graciously shared with me her Stampin Up Stamps, Cheers to You, and I knew the champagne glasses would make a great wedding card. Again, the round plaque is cut from Elegant Edges and the Best Wishes stamp is from Stampin Up’s Sincere Salutations. My favorite part is the actual champagne, which I colored in with a light yellow colored pencil and topped with a Stardust glitter pen. I added Glossy Accents over top the coloring, and it hardens and gives just a little bit of dimension and sheen to the champagne, which I think is a pretty effect. I added a simple ribbon bow and a rhinestone heart, which again was reused from the original wedding invitation. Sorry that the close-up picture below is a bit blurry but I hope you can see what I am describing (click on the pictures to see details better).
I hope you’re not tired of wedding cards yet, because I have one more to show you later this week. Have a great weekend and stay cool!
